Job Prospects

Your prospects are excellent...
As an experienced and qualified engineer, you'll have excellent prospects, a varied and rewarding
working life… plus the opportunity to branch out into areas that suit you best.

Many engineers start off in a bustling workshop but the chances are you'll soon find yourself out on
the road. As a field service engineer you will work on your own, with your own mobile workshop,
meeting customers and using your initiative - and the latest technology - to solve their problems.

Looking ahead, your career path offers lots of choice.

or service manager.

You may prefer to transfer to the sales side. If you are really ambitious, you
might even set up your own business. Almost every independent fork lift
truck dealership is owned by someone who, like you, began his or her
working life as an apprentice engineer…
